Staying Grounded in Gratitude This Thanksgiving
This year has been a rollercoaster of emotions and challenges for all of us. Staying grounded in gratitude and nurturing our mental wellness has never been so important. This Thanksgiving, wherever you may be, is most likely looking different than past years. Beginning a gratitude practice can help you focus on the blessings in your life, creating a boost in positive emotions and contentment.
Ready to Start?
Create a ritual that works for you and stick to it! My personal ritual is writing in my gratitude journal each morning while I enjoy my cup of coffee. Some days it is easier to find gratitude than others, but there is always SOMETHING to be thankful for. It is great to find appreciation for the big things (like having a roof over your head), but I find I get more out of the practice if I focus in on smaller, more specific things. For example, having time to enjoy a good book, cooking a delicious meal, sharing a good laugh with someone, taking my dog for a walk and breathing in the fresh air. Simple pleasures are what make life beautiful!
If you're not big into journaling, maybe try taking time to reflect on what you are grateful for before you go to bed at night or connect with friends and family (zoom, ft or in person!) and share with one another.
Today, I want to share my gratitude for all of YOU. For shopping small, emailing and messaging kind words, sharing posts and telling your friends and family about 'Ula Bloom. None of it has gone un-noticed and it is thanks to your support that I am able to live out my dream and grow 'Ula Bloom. Thank you, thank you, thank you. From 'Ula Bloom to you, Happy Thanksgiving!!
